Linnea Walli
Coach Linnea was a figure skater and accomplished the highest achievement in the sports discipline that focuses on edge control - Gold Moves in the Field.
She actively coached within Learn to Skate programs for over two decades and coached competitive figure skating for 10 years. With four sons - who all play hockey - she transitioned to coaching Learn to Skate and Power Skating for the Hibbing-Chisholm Youth Hockey Association. She has assisted with team practices at the Mini-Mite through Bantam levels, focusing on skating fundamentals.
Coach Linnea is a member of the US Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and Professional Skaters Association (PSA). She has obtained Hockey Skating 1, Hockey Skating 2 and Hockey Skating 3 certificates through the PSA. She is also a 200HR Certified Yoga Instructor - bringing body awareness, optimal alignment and positive mindset to her training.
Coach Linnea resides in Hibbing with her husband, four sons and their dog.
 
Beth Brown Davies
Coach Beth was a competitive figure skater and transitioned to hockey when girls hockey started growing in Minnesota. She was the 1995 State Champion for Juvenile Figures, a figure skating discipline focused on balance and edge control. She played the inaugural season of the Hibbing High School girls hockey team - she was a member of the 1997 State Champion team, 1998 State All-Tournament team and 2000 All Iron Range team. She went on to play Division 1 women's hockey at Bemidji State University where she earned a degree in Business Administration.
After coaching youth hockey in the Twin Cities for 7 years, she returned to Hibbing in 2015 and began coaching Learn to Skate and Power Skating for the Hibbing-Chisholm Youth Hockey Association. Six years later - in 2021 - Iron Edge Skating was formed. Coach Beth is a member of the HCYHA Girls Coaching Committee and has assisted teams at various levels. She was a Varsity Assistant Coach for Bluejacket Girls Hockey and named 2022-2023 Section 7A Assistant Coach of the Year - she continues to provide weekly power skating instruction for the team.
Coach Beth is a member of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA), USA Hockey and Learn to Skate USA. She has obtained Hockey Skating 1, Hockey Skating 2, Hockey Skating 3 and Hockey Skating 4 certificates through PSA. Through USA Hockey, she is a Level 4 certified coach and has completed age-specific modules for Mite (U8), Squirt (U10), PeeWee (U12) & Midget (U16/18/19).
Coach Beth resides in Hibbing with her husband, Steve, and two daughters - one in hockey skates and one in figure skates.
